Thirsty Thursday Linkup Party #2

Week 2!!! Let's get drankin'!!

Hopelessly Ever After

First off, I would like to welcome my cohost this week.

This is Alicia from Brew Mama. I know, I know, she's the PERFECT cohost for the Thirsty Thursday linkup!! She's a mother of 5 super adorable kids and married to her high school sweetheart. She's also going through her own weight loss journey and looks amazing!! I have had so much fun getting to know her over the last few days and you would, too!! Head on over to her blog and check her out!!

My drink of the week is a Strawberry Margarita!! Here's a little secret...Mike (big ole' macho, tatted up, MMA fighter, Mike) LOVES Strawberry Daquiris. haha.

During the summertime, when we sit at home and catch up on our shows TRUE BLOOD STARTS SOON!! Mike makes us Strawberry Daquiris. He's kind of an expert by now. They are delicious.

Last week, in honor of Cinco de Mayo I bought some Margarita mix. It was the kind with all the stuff already in it and you just blend it with ice. It was pretty blah. But I had an idea to fix it up a little. I figured I would combine Mike's daquiri expertise and the margarita mix and Voila!! Freakin' delicious!!
 Even Mike agreed!!

Strawberry Margarita

3 cups Chi Chi's premade Margarita mix
2 packets Sweet and Low (optional)
about 1 1/2 cups sweetened strawberries
2 shots of vodka
fill the blender with ice
Optional: a few frozen strawberries

Blend all ingredients together until smooth. If your blender has a liquify button, that seems to be the best option to get the chunks out.

Enjoy!!

Now, scroll on down and link up your favorite beer, wine, or cocktail. Remember, this doesn't have to be anything elaborate, just something to give some readers ideas for their weekend!!
