Christmas is in the Air - Stocking Stuffers!!

So I'm super excited that Chelsee and Christine have decided to do the Christmas is in the Air linkup again. This linkup totally got me in the Christmas spirit last year and so I'm hype to do it again!!

This week's topic is "Holiday Gift Guide" and it's perfect!! I'm so OCD about my Christmas presents that I create a Pinterest board for my family and Secret Santas. Hey...don't hate, appreciate, and copy my style! It gets you exactly what you want and you can link right to the sites that hold your favorite items. Kinda like a Christmas gift registry if you will.

The only problem is that I can't always find links to my stocking stuffers. Stocking stuffers are probably my favorite gifts of all time, but I hate it when I don't necessarily get stuff that I would use. It's all awesome stuff, but I would rather just give my mom a list of stuff that I could actually use. And...since this is something Mom can print out and take with her to the store, I'm golden!!

1. Melatonin - I take Melatonin almost every night on the weekends. I have a horrible time staying asleep at night and on the weekends I want nothing more then to sleep in. My body, however, disagrees and I tend to wake up early and can't fall back asleep. Not with Melatonin!! Plus, it also helps with hangovers. :) You can find this at Walmart, Mom!!

2. Covergirl Foundation (shade: classic ivory) - I'm almost out and God knows I need this for my dark circles. Plus, I hate spending money on makeup so this is a great way for me to stock up.

3. External Battery Charger - This is perfect for everyone on your stocking stuffer list. You charge her up and put it in your purse. Then, pull it out anytime you're in a bind with no way to charge your cell!! Perfect for power outages, or people who just never seem to have their phone charged, like me. :) I found this one for cheap on Amazon and it comes in a bunch of different colors!!

4. SOCKS!! - For some reason every time I wear boots my big toe puts a hole in my socks. WTH?? My toenails are cut so the only thing I can think of is my big arsh feet that cause this. So, I can always use cute socks to cover my cold feet in the winter. :)

5. Covergirl Lash Blast Mascara (waterproof, color: black) - Yet another bit of makeup I hate to spend money on but always wear. I love this. Chelsee actually introduced it to me last year and I have worn it ever since.

6. Amazon Kindle Gift Card - I mean let's be honest. Everyone could use this. It's so easy and convenient to order books right from your kindle. But...it's also way toooooooo easy and convenient and sometimes, when my hubby finds out how many I have ordered, it's a little costly. Plus, with Book Club and everything it's perfect!!

7. Fashion Rings - The only ring I ever wear anymore is my wedding band. I always love, however, all these cute little rings I see all over Groopdealz and Instagram. I found these at Kohls (here and here) and they are super cute!!

8. Hot Cocoa Kcups - Who doesn't love a nice hot cup of cocoa on a cold snowy day?? If it's you, you're not human. Swiss Miss is my fav but someone bought me a pack of Dunkin Donuts ones last year and they are AMAZEBALLS!! Either way I would be happy.

So there's my Holiday Gift Guide. Head on over and link up!!

20 pounds in a year?!?!

So...today we had a weigh in for an incentive at work. It's a "Don't Gain, Maintain" incentive for the holidays. As long as you don't gain more than 2 pounds over the next month and a half you get 25 wellness points.

Wellness points are the equivalent to cash money. Every wellness point is worth $1 and at the end of the year, however many wellness points you gain they give you a little bonus. You can earn some by going to the gym, losing weight, running, etc. Any way that you are keeping healthy. They even have screenings and stuff throughout the school year.

Anyway, back to this weigh-in. I know I have packed on some pounds in the last few months, but never did I imagine that it was this much. I was stunned. And...as I tried to hold back tears, I called my husband to tell him. 168 pounds. I can remember when my "panic weight" was 140. I thought, if I get to 140 pounds, I'll freak out...and look at me. Here I am a whole 30 pounds past my panic weight and still not in the gym.

Truth be told, I was in the gym. I was doing great until I broke my foot about a year and a half ago and I haven't been consistent since. Yeah, I spend most of my days in the summer headed to the gym, but I'm not a gym rat like I felt like. Plus, I'm not motivated.

Well...I think I just got motivated. 168 is a number I never thought I would see. And, if the hubsters and I are planning on popping a baby out in the near future, I don't want this weight hanging over my head....or maybe I should say belly.

I know to some people 168 might not sound that bad. However you have to understand where I came from. I was super active and weighed about 110 pounds all throughout high school and college. It wasn't until about 3 years ago that I actually started panicking about my panic weight. Even then I managed to keep it in check and although I went a little above 140 I maintained.

This past year/ year and a half has been brutal. I have steadily gained weight and done nothing but tried to eat healthier. Yes, I haven't been in the gym...but I have probably eaten healthier than any other time in my life, and drank less alcohol, too. Which we all know is a huge plus for me. And no matter what I do, I can't seem to lose anything. Even during the months where I was steadily in the gym there didn't seem to be much difference. Maybe a pound here or there but nothing significant.

About 2 months ago I went into the doctor to get some blood work done to see if I had a thyroid problem. Unfortunately, the test came back negative and I was fine. Unfortunately?, you might think...but yes, to me that's unfortunate. I wanted there to be something wrong so I had an explanation for why I was gaining weight so rapidly. And now...I'm stuck with no reasoning.

When I was on the phone with Mike I told him I'm getting back in the gym. Hopefully this is enough motivation for me to make this work this time. I always have so many excuses and I know it's going to cut back on the amount of time I actually get to see my husband, but I have to do something. And truthfully, it's not just for me, it's for him.

This is something I wrote a while back when I was actually working out. I want so badly to be the person I think Mike wants me to be. And although it hurt, this afternoon he told me "I could tell you have put on weight over the last few months" and it's all I needed to hear to know I'm not who he wants me to be right now. He has always done everything he can to make me feel beautiful and keep me confident. So it probably hurt him just as much to tell me the truth.

So here I am....I'm expecting you to keep me in check, ladies. I'm back on that grind. Don't give in to my excuses......if I fail, tell me I failed and to suck it up and get back to it. I need tough love. It's the only thing that works for me.

2 Day Work Week!!

Thank God this week is only 2 days long. I can't even say it's been forever since I had a day off because last week was the first whole week I have worked in about a month. Something is wrong with me.

Oh well...at least I only have to get through 2 days this week and then I'm golden for the rest of the week. Plus, it's Thanksgiving week so I'm getting good food and dranks all week long!!! Can't wait!!

Just wanted to shout out a quick bit of information just in case anyone was wondering. I'm not doing Thursty Thursday this week. I just thought it might be too hard to link up during Thanksgiving and I know I have a busy day so I'm sure everyone else does, too.

Thursty Thursday will kick back off on December 4th and I'll be starting to showcase some delicious Christmas themed dranks!!

Speaking of Christmas I'll be decorating for that this week as well. We had planned on doing it last weekend but we decided to redo our guest bedrooms instead. We also got around to hanging up some pictures and things on the walls.....finally. Maybe I'll post some of those tomorrow.

Don't forget to link up on Wednesday for the Christmas is in the Air link up with Chelsee and Christine!! The theme is "Holiday Gift Guide" and it's perfect timing for me!!

HAPPY MONDAY!!

It's Thursday and I'm THURSTY!!

Happy Thursday!! So, today is Parent Visitation Day at school which means, Thank God it's Thursty Thursday so I can go home and drink. It's so nerve wracking to have parents watch you the entire time. I could talk, sing, dance, whatever in front of an auditorium of children, but throw one adult in my room and I freak!!

Last year, during our cruise, I was introduced to Bacardi Torched Cherry. I usually mix it with Coke which tastes exactly like Cherry Coke, but since I ran out this week I decided to try something new. We didn't have much in the fridge so it was completely random. And...it was definitely a good random!!!

INGREDIENTS:
Bacardi Torched Cherry
Lemonade
Grenadine (splash)

Mix the lemonade and rum together. Then splash some grenadine to top it off and enjoy!

This week's cohost is Ashley from Keeping up with Ashley and Cody. How adorable are they?? I actually just found Ashley and am super glad I did. Most Popular Posts #3 - Doin' The Do On Your Wedding Night

Haha. Oh by far my favorite Most Popular Post of all time. Enjoy!!

________________________________________________________________________

First off, if you don't like this topic, don't read this. It's my blog. I write what I wanna!!

Oh!!! And don't forget to come link up for Thirsty Thursday tomorrow!! All you have to do is link up one of your posts about alcohol!!!

Okay so, lets be honest...whenever someone gets married you always wonder if they're actually going to "do the do" on their wedding night. Come on...fess up. We all wonder.

Here's something you might not know about me. I'm really interested in sex. No, I'm not some crazy fiend, it's just interesting to me. And truthfully, whenever my friends come over, our conversations always turn to sex. So, I can't be the only one.

Honestly, I don't think it's something you have to feel embarrassed to talk about. I mean yeah, sometimes it's awkward to picture OPP (look it up, you down with it??) and sometimes you hear things you don't need to hear, but it's still interesting.

Think of it this way, your friend tried out a recipe that you've been eyeing up for weeks. And..before trying out the recipe for yourself you need to get the lowdown. For example: How complicated is this recipe exactly? Does it involve a lot of fancy utensils that you might not have lying around your house? Will I get messy? (OK sorry I had to.) Is ther anything I should be aware of when actually preparing this recipe? And most importantly...Is it worth it?? All legit questions, right?!?

So...why is it inappropriate for me to ask the same questions about sex? I mean I want to know what I'm getting myself into before I'm too far gone.

But...maybe that's just my own opinion..........

Back to the main question...Did you "get down with the get down" on your wedding night??

My answer is probably about the same as 70% of the population.

No.

You see, on the night of my wedding my husband felt the need to take a shot with every single person he's ever spoken to for at least 30 seconds in his life. However, being the good wife that I was, I was doing the mingling with our guests and had no idea this was happening. I mean, I could tell he was a little bit tipsy and going a little bit too far, but I had no idea what I was in store for.

After most of the guests left, Mike and I were getting ready to go to a local bar down the street. When, all the sudden, I looked over and noticed that his eyes were rolling in the back of his head and he was about to pass out on the couch. When I asked how much he drank he said "just like 4 shots".

Now, between the two of us we did manage to kill a half gallon of vodka and another of sweet tea vodka. But, that's just a typical special occasion Saturday for us. lol. I just figured it was one of those nights where it hits you all of once and they you pass out and be done with it.

Boy was I in for a treat...

After I carried Mike up to the room (4 flights of stairs by the way :)) I realized that he truly was incredibly intoxicated. Thank God my brother and his fiance were there to help me. Unfortunately, for them, they were also in for a treat. The only words that Mike made out clearly that evening were "I want Scott and Leigh to undress me....and very, very slowly." *eye roll*

Between the three of us we did manage to get him undressed and put him in bed. Me still in my wedding dress. When I thought he was asleep I started to head up the stairs to get the rest of my clothes. And that's when it happened.

I had literally seen Mike get sick about 3 times in our relationship. But tonight changed it all. He would not stop. I somehow got him to the toilet and that is where I slept for the remainder of the evening. Sitting up, on a tile floor, with Mike in between my legs head pushed into the toilet... aallllllllll niiiiigggghhhtttt looooooooooong. Oh, and in my strapless and thong because all my clothes were upstairs.

So...no. Needless to say I did not do the horizontal mambo on our wedding night. And, thanks to an incredibly long hangover and a drive to Florida, it wasn't until 3 days later that we finally got to consummate our marriage.

A few weeks later when we got our pictures back I had the proof...

So..did you "do the do" on your wedding night?!?!
Did you "do it" on your wedding night?

Most Popular Posts #2 - The Time I Peed My Pants

It's Day #2 of my Most Popular Posts. This is another of my personal favorites. A confession I held in for many years. It's pretty funny so I hope you enjoy it!!

___________________________________________________________________________

Sorry for the boobs in this pic...

I live about an hour and a half away from University of Maryland. Truth is I'm totally not into college ball of any sort. Yes, I may watch a football game on tv and I've even been to a few UMD basketball games, but I'd much rather watch "real" football.

There was one time when we were invited to go with a group of people to a UMD football game. They were friends of my husband boyfriend at the time but I had barely even met them before. The whole day was kind of awkward. I tried to make small talk with the girlfriends, but truth is I didn't really know them. I was the only one in the group who didn't "belong".

So...what did I do?? Come on...you can do this!! That's right...I got drunk. :)

I talk enough as it is, but when I drink I don't necessarily feel as awkward with strangers. I feel like I loosen up a little. of course

It was FREEZING!! I can't exactly remember the time of year but we were dressed in everything we had and tailgating with snow outside. So, the members of the group started a fire and we continued to hang out until the game started. A few drinks in I had to pee. The only thing available was a porta-potty. No biggie. I actually don't mind portas. One of the chicks even volunteered to go with me to make sure I got back ok.

Fast forward about 4 drinks later...I had broken the seal, so I had to go again. I felt confident about this time so I went by myself and waited in line. It was dark by now so once in the potty I visualized the seat and hovered overtop. This time, however, as I was "doin my thang" I heard something dripping. And then...I felt something flow down my leg...

I'm terribly afraid of spiders so I sucked it up real quick and swatted at my leg. It was at that moment that I realized, whatever was on my leg, it was wet.

Then...there was panic...

 photo omg-zoom_zps829a76c3.gif

I had peed all over myself. WTH?? Why didn't it go in?? Well...some d-bag decided that when they were done they were going to shut the lid. Who does that?!?! It's a freakin porta potty!! Who shuts the lid?!?!?! WHAT DO I DO????

So...I pulled my pants up. Walked out the door. And went straight to the fire.

Not a single word came out of my mouth for about an hour. I stood there, with my butt to the fire, as close as I could get, and drank dried. Luckily I was wearing dark jeans and you couldn't see the wet spot. I even sat at the game, freezing cold, with wet pants, for a LOOOOOOOONG time. But I wouldn't tell anyone. Even Mike didn't know until we were headed home.

Truth is...that story has never been told to anyone besides my husband. Not a sole there ever knew I had pee pee pants. So...I have broken my silence.

Thank you for listening.

Most Popular Posts #1 - 10 reasons I can't stand my husband

This week I decided to go back and repost some of my most popular posts. I always enjoy rereading them and figured you might too.

The first one is probably also one of my favorite posts of all time. It's all about the many reasons I can't stand my husband. We all have our moments with out significant others and venting about it always helps so why not vent to the world?!!? Hope you enjoy!!

__________________________________________________________________________

Yeah, yeah...husband bashing here. It's probably just going to be man bashing in general. And bashing of anyone who has it easier than me doing absolutely anything. Yup, I'm in that mood.

So, Mike and I have been at each other's throat's lately. See, here's where the night shift comes in handy. I can get the hell away from him for a while!! So, I thought what better way to get 'ish off my chest than to man bash right here on the interwebz for everyone to see. And laugh at. Because you all have the same problems I do.

Here's my list. I say ten, but I'm sure once I get started it's just going to come flowing out of me.

1. Did you seriously just call me at work to ask me where the lint roller was? You mean that lint roller was so important that I had to stop teaching to tell you to look in the same damn place it has been in 3 moves, 4 years, and the 24 hours its been since you used it last?

2. How old are you? 29? And I still get up in the middle of the night and sit in piss on the toilet seat because you can't seem to aim correctly? Not to mention you didn't lift it in the first place. Now, don't get me wrong, I can't imagine having to stand when I'm half asleep and actually aim and shoot into a little hole, but, I would have the smarts to find ways around it. Like, sit down and tuck??

3. Please stop telling me how hard your job is, and then come home and tell me that you're so tired because you didn't get to "get a nap in" at work last night. Really? Who naps at work?? I sure as hell don't get a nap. And this "I worked all night" 'ish. Well, I worked all freakin' day but I still have to come home and function.

4. Speaking of work. Did you just complain about the 20 minute drive you now have home? Oh, that sucks. CUZ THE HOUR PLUS THAT I'VE BEEN DRIVING TO WORK FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS IS JUST FREAKIN' WONDERFUL!

5. Please take your hand out of your pants. Your "boys" are still there, don't worry. And the whole "It's warm down there" doesn't work with me. Can you imagine if I walked around with my hands down my pants all evening. I would look pretty stupid, right? Exactly.

6. You know how you do that thing where you burp up your food and then re-eat it and swallow it?? Yeah...that's nasty. Especially when you do it 2 hours after you eat. By then it's started to digest, so....that's throw up.

7. Is there anything that isn't competitive for you? Like last night when you counted how many tater tots I had and how many you had because you thought I had more than you and I said they were probably about the same?

8. What do you eat??? Because there has to be something you put in you that smells so foul when it comes back out. And, it's ok to fart a lot....but you?? I mean you don't get an award you know.

9. And speaking of farting...hot boxing me in the car when it's 90º and I have a headache is no longer funny. It used to be...when I was 7.

10. You can stop yelling at me for being a backseat driver when you stop almost killing us in parking lots.

11. Yes, I need another box of tampons. I know, I know...they're expensive. But...what do you want me to do?? No, I can't wait a few more weeks until we get paid again. It doesn't work like that.

12. I have to wipe every time I use the bathroom. No matter what...so please stop buying the 4 for $1.00 packs of toilet paper.

13. When I tell you I can't stay awake for any more shows and then you put it on and I fall asleep, don't suggest I get up and dance so I can wake myself up.

OK, so thirteen wasn't that bad. And, I feel so much better!!! Any of you guys have these same issues?? I'm sure not!! haha.

Truth is I love my husband dearly. We all have our own husband issues, and these are just a few of mine. But in the end, I wouldn't trade him for the world.

Friday...TGI the weekend!

ONE.
I got flowers from my coworker yesterday!! How sweet. All I did was help her with some videos she wanted to use at conferences. No biggie, but she is THE sweetest person you will ever meet. It made me feel so great and appreciated and after all, that's what November is all about, right!?

TWO.
Girl's night tonight!! Love it!! My neighbors are the best thing about buying the house that we did. Everyone is so awesome and we all get along great. Tonight were headed downtown for some wine and mingling, some shopping at our friends store, and some sushi. Yeah....AWESOME!! Especially because Mike works tonight, so I would just be getting drunk alone watching chick flicks or trashy reality tv because no one really does anything on a Friday night anymore after you turn 30.

THREE.
My drank from last week's THURSTY THURSDAY LINKUP has been my goto for the last week. I may or may not have had a HUGE one before bed last night to put me to sleep. Go check it out! It's perfect for a Holiday Party and you could make it in a huge batch to keep the guests happy!! LOVE!! And, if you're interested in joining the linkup it's every Thursday!! Just post about an alcoholic drink and give the recipe if needed!! I'd love to have you! I need cohosts, too!!

FOUR.
It's snuggle weather. Which also is a horrible thing when your husband works 15 nights out of the month. But...when he's home I love getting under the covers and snuggling with him. I know...cheesy, but it's true. He's so warm!!!

FIVE.
Next week I'm going to repost all of my most popular posts from the past years. Some of them are pretty funny so stop by and check them out!! Especially on Day 3!!

Linking up for...

Thursty Thursday - So, Tip up ya cup...

....and throw ya hands up. And let me hear the party say...I'm kinda buzzed and it's all because THIS IS HOW WE DO IT!! South Central does it like nobody does. {THIS IS HOW WE DO IT} To all my neighbors you got much flavor! {THIS IS HOW WE DO IT} Let's flip the track, bring the old school baaaaack.

OK, so that's stuck in your head now. You're welcome. And I even provided you with the whole thing below. Again...you're welcome.

So anywhooo..It's THURSTY THURSDAY!! My favorite time of the week!! A time when we can sit back and reflect on how horribly our week has gone so we have an excuse to drink!!! WHOO HOO!!

This week I went with something simple. In case you didn't read this post yesterday, I got my tooth out on Tuesday night and was not happy about it. Needless to say I was kinda slacking yesterday and laying around the house. Mike's parents came over for dinner last night so he asked them to pick up one of the new fall/winter lagers we heard about.

Blue Point Brewing
Company - Toasted Lager

From the Blue Point Brewery Page:  The best thing to come out of a brick oven since pizza. Well, we’ve upgraded from our original direct-fire brick kettle, but our flagship Toasted Lager still has the same toasted flavor it was named for. Copper in color, our most popular and unique brew is made from six different malts, including English Pale, Crystal, Munich, Carapils, Wheat, and Belgian Caravienna. Toasted Lager’s balanced flavor of malt and hops makes for easy drinking and the special lager yeast we use produces an exceptional, long-lasting smooth finish.
This beer is delicious. Very smooth and crisp with hints of malts. So great for a nice fall day out on the patio.

They took my damn tooth out...

I hate the dentist. Every time I go I end up with directions to contact an oral surgeon and have something removed. Well...that could be because I never actually do what they tell me, but in all honesty I'm terrified.

My whole life dentists and orthodontists have been lying to me. Ok so maybe it just feels like lying lets preface this with the fact that I sucked my thumb until I was like in the 3rd grade. So I had big old beautiful buck teeth for a very long time. Some time during the third grade I started going to an orthodontist. He told me I needed braces and that's where the hell began.

I was told I would have braces for about a year and that should correct my buck teeth. After tons of retainers...some I had to sleep in, some I had to turn with a key to tighten every day...braces were put on my teeth. Every year I hoped he would say it was time to take the off and every year I was disappointed. By the time I got to 8th grade I feared I wouldn't get them off before high school.

And...my fears came true.

Not only did I have them when I got to high school, I had them until the summer before my senior year. Let's do the math....Yup, that would be 9 years. 9 years!!!! I had braces for 9 years. My orthodontist used to joke that he was going to walk me down the aisle. Ha ha....funny.

So that's where my fear began. One year turned into nine. So, when I found out I needed my wisdom teeth out...that clearly wasn't happening. So I avoid the dentist like the plague.

The summer I got married I decided to go get a cleaning. It had probably been 2 years ( don't judge me, you'll see why I don't go) but I wanted to be extr shiny for the wedding. I even went to a different dentist so he wouldn't know anything about my wisdom teeth. Unfortunately while i was there he did an X-ray and found that I had a tooth rotting fro the inside out.

Why? You ask.....because I had braces for so long and something about the constant shifting. Oh...and he also noticed the wisdom teeth. So he sent me with an order to go get all of them taken out and we would prep for an implant for the rotten one.

Well...needless to say that didn't happen. Unfortunately last week my rotten tooth started bothering me so I had to go in. He wasn't happy that it hadn't been taken out yet and decided he would do it right there.

I cried...

I have pretty bad anxiety and just took myself off of the meds because of the side effects. Wish I hadn't because next thing you know I was numbed and he was breaking my tooth into 4 parts and digging away.

And now here I am. Laying in bed with an ice pack trying not to get dry socket.

Damn dentist...

TGIF - I need to get drunk...

{1} The Thursty Thursday linkup started back up yesterday!!! Yup!! I'm super excited and have missed it. I've thought about starting it up again a million times but I just figure I'll fail. Then, I finally said screw it, who cares, and decided on Tuesday I wanted to present this amazing drink to my minions followers because they would love it!! Hope you join us in the future. If you're interested in co-hosting just email me!! hopelessly_ever_after@yahoo.com

{2} I'm getting drunk tonight. So...Wednesday I hit a deer on my way home from work and this week has been the longest week of my life so....I'm getting drunk. Wish I could have brought a little sumn' sumn' to work but that's against the law, unfortunately, so I guess I'll refrain. But when I get home, it's on. I'll even pour some out for my homie...the deer that caused $3000 worth of damage to my car.

{3} Today is Camo Day at work. I rocked it, as ush. Like a hunter and gatherer I found these amazing leaves myself and hot glued them onto my headband. Cuz I'm cool like that. Duh....or maybe I'm just cheap and don't own but this one camo shirt...

Thursty Thursday Linkup PARTY!!!

You saw right!!! Thursty Thursday is coming back!! (With a slight name change. THURSty THURSday...get it?!?!)

OK so here's the deal. I know it's hectic but I have a feeling it's going to force me to get back into this blog. It's a lot of work and I know hardly anyone ever linked up anymore, but I still want to get back into it. I met a lot of awesome chicks from the old Thirsty Thursday and got a lot of really great drank ideas. (For the newbies: dranks = alcoholic drinks)

Thursty Thursday will be every Thursday. I'd love to have a cohost every week. If you're interested please email me at hopelessly_ever_after@yahoo.com. All you would have to do as a cohost is come up with an awesome drank to share and promote the linkup on your blog and social media. You can make it theme based if you want and include party ideas to go along with it. But that's totally up to you. In return I'll feature you on my blog and give you free ad space on my sidebar!! Whoop Whoop!!

We have a new blog button, too!! For now at least. Until I get bored and want another one.

Hopelessly Ever After

So yesterday I hit a damn deer on the way home. Or maybe I should say a deer hit me. Yup. Well, at least I think that's what it was. I never actually saw it. Just felt the huge thud and saw my car parts flying all over the road. At least I can still drive her but she's ugly. And.....of course it falls under Comprehension  for my insurance so I have a $1000 deductible. Unfortunately. Grrrr. That damn deer. Sad part is when I got home I couldn't stop crying because I felt so bad for the deer. Then I got pissed. Damn thing cost me a grand! Poor Veloster.

Anywhoooo...This week I found a recipe I can't wait to try. I absolutely love apple cider in the fall, and winter, and really any time of the year. When I came across this recipe I knew I had to try it out.

I was nervous you would be able to taste too much of the alcohol but it was delicious!!! Definitely something I would make in a big batch and put in a drink dispenser or punchbowl for a holiday party.

INGREDIENTS:
1 part Spiced Rum
4 parts-ish Apple Cider
(ok if you don't know this I don't measure shit so...
this drink has like 1 shot in it and the rest cider.)

Put ingredients in a shaker with ice and then pour over ice. I rimmed my glass with some cinnamon and brown sugar which was divine.

Let me know what you think if you try it!!

Now come on and link up!

My co-host this week the ever amazing Chelsee from Southern Beauty Guide. Chelsee saves me literally every time I need a co-host. I emailed her yesterday to see if she would be interested in co-host one will and BAM! "I can do tomorrow!" Ugh. She's amazeballs. If you ever need any makeup advice or suggestions for great products she's the one to go to. I wish I could do makeup half as amazing as her. Be sure to go check her out and show her some love!

Cruise Chaos Recap...Part 2

Part 1 is here...

Wednesday was a sea day. Mike and I slept in a little then headed to get breakfast and grab a cabana on the Serenity deck. Adults only. Yes please. We read for a while because it was a little dreary and headed into the hot tub. The hot tub was probably cooler than the weather outside, unfortunately. Not much of a hot tub, so we napped for a while in the cabana. A few hours later we headed to lunch and while we were there it started to rain. Luckily the Guys Burgers and Blue Cantina Burritos are amazeballs.

After lunch we said "eff it" and went into the pool anyway. We're wet no matter what so might as well make the best of it. After about 7 minutes that got old so we did one of the 2 things we do best. NAPTIME!! (the other is drinking, of course) After nap time we got up and got ready for dinner. We wanted to make a quick one because they were showing Divergent on the pool deck that night and we needed to get good seats.

My favorite thing about cruises is the amount of food you consume. And, since you can order however much you want, I usually go for 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. Then dessert. Don't judge me. It's the only time I get legit high end food all year. During dinner, however, our lovely captain came over the intercom. Apparently a crew member suffered an injury and we would need to increase speed to arrive in Grand Cayman early so that he could receive the treatment he needed. "Hey, at least it's not skipping the port."............................

We headed down to the pool deck to get our seats after dinner. Divergent was awesome! So glad I got to see it. And on the pool deck in the middle of the ocean was pretty cool, too. It did rain a bit, but Mike and I borrowed some pool towels from the towel boy and hid under them. We were the only idiots out there, but that gave us awesome seats! Plus it gave it a little bit of adventure.

I'm aware this isn't Divergent. This isn't the night i was talking about. This isn't even our cruise ship.
Unfortunately, because this cruise, sucked we didn't take many pictures. But you get the idea.
We arrived to Grand Cayman in the middle of the night and disembarkment was scheduled for 8:00. Mike and I decided to sleep in to like 9 because we figured We had Fast to the Fun which allowed you to tender first, so we wouldn't have to wait in line anyway. Around 8:30 we heard something over the intercom about getting the tenders ready but didn't pay much attention to it. 9:00 came an announcement in our cabin......

.....Unfortunately, due to rough waters, the tenders would not be able to operate safely so we were skipping Grand Cayman and heading back out to sea.....

Great.....
