My cohost this week is Erin!! She's super awesome!! I wish she was my neighbor so she could be my drinking partner, too. Erin blogs over at The Party Girl's Guide. YOu have to go check her out. She's got some hilarious stories and the cutest little man dog Fred!! Oh!! And my favorite post is her awesome
advice on how to save some money!!

I did a lot of research for this week. I wanted something simple but FREAKIN' AWESOME for 4th of July. There are so many drinks out there but it used all these different kinds of liquor that I don't have on hand...so I made something up. lol. Surprised??

Sorry, but I refuse to buy a bottle of liquor that I will only use for one drink. I'm cheap. And broke. So...I improvised. :)

 Red, White, and Bamboozled

INGREDIENTS:
1 part Grenadine
1 part vodka, lemon juice mix
1 part UV Blue Vodka (with a drop of blue food coloring *optional*)

Mix vodka and a little bit of lemon juice and set to the side. Pour Grenadine in first. Slowly add the vodka lemon mixture. I added the lemon thought after the fact. The shot with just the vodka was rough!! You can do this by either tipping the glass sideways and pouring very slowly, or you can pour the mixture slowly onto the back of a spoon in the shot glass. Do the same with the UV Blue. The UV Blue will actually end up in the middle if you do it like I did.

God Bless 'Merica!!!

  2. That drink is hard core. I wish I had more mixed drinks in my repertoire but I am also too cheap to buy liquor for just one kind of drink. Love the button this week!
