Thank God it's Friday!! Next week starts our big testing month and it's going to be super hectic so I can't make any promises about how posting, but I'll do my best! But I'm so flipping happy it's Friday right now!

favorite ecard.
Vodka makes me happy.
favorite pin.
Spray paint is cheap!! Need I say more??
favorite workout.
This looks right up my alley. Most of these treadmill workouts have you running as fast as my legs will take me and I just can't function with that. It's a little bit of fear that I might trip and fall and a lot a bit lack of breath.
First things first, I'm the realist let me announce the winner of the Flex Watches giveaway!! Congrats to Nadine Mathews!! Congrats Nadine!! And...since I'm awesome like that. I chose another winner, too!! Congrats to Jessica Hamilton!! I'm sending you your email now!!
Now...on to the real stuff. The alcohol!! Yum Yum!!
This is a little play on the Arnold Palmer-anian that Mike and I make a lot in the summertime. We usually make it by the gallon and just keep it in our fridge. This will definitely be the newest one we do. Recently we found some Simply Lemonade in a raspberry flavor and I got this amazing idea!
{Spiked} Raspberry Lemonade Sweet Tea
Ingredients:
• empty half gallon jug
• 1 fifth of sweet tea vodka
• Gold Peak Raspberry Sweet Tea
• Simply Lemonade Raspberry Lemonade
Fill the jug up about halfway with vodka. (I like it strong!) Then put in equal parts of lemonade and sweet tea. Keep that bad boy in the fridge and pour to your heart's content!!
Now it's your turn!! Let me see those dranks!!

As much as I hate the snow, I have to admit the snow days last week were really nice. This week sucks. I think I got a little to used to being home and even though I didn't do anything worthwhile it was nice not to have to wake up to an alarm. I need to go back to those no snow snow days we had about a month ago. #nosnowsnowday #ineedsummer #effthesnow
I'm having shopping withdrawal. I need new clothes so bad. My closet is full of lounge gear and stuff that doesn't fit me. My problem is that when I buy things I have buyers guilt and I usually end up taking them back. Especially if I think even remotely that it costs more than I should pay. And then there's websites like Groopdealz and Jane.com where everything is so cheap, but you can't tell if the clothes are too or not. And...I hate taking the chance. Anyone wanna send me some free clothes??? #helpmeimpoor #buyallthethings
Two weeks ago we had my father in law walk our dog for us while we were away for the night. I've been asking Mike for the last 2 weeks to go get the key from him. I've already been locked out of the house twice because he forgets I don't have a key. Last night when I came home from work and the gym I was locked out again. Mike was in Baltimore at the Terps game so, needless to say, I was pissed. I was tired and hungry and the last thing I wanted to do was make the 20 minute drive back to town to get this key. But...no other choice, so I went. He will pay with vodka. #willworkforvodka #men #lockeddown #bfeprobs
If you didn't see I posted this DIY on Monday. I posted the picture a couple of weeks back and I had a lot of requests for the directions. It's super easy and I'm so proud of myself. You should make one too and show me how great it turned out. #anothershamelessplug #imcraftyyeahimcraft #tothetuneofimdifferent
It took Mike and I a long time to try out turkey burgers. We actually started with a chicken burger and, I'll be honest, that was just plain nasty....so we were a little skeptical. But, thanks to Anne Burrell and a few other recipes, we were able to put together a concoction that turned out to be delicious!
The Perfect Turkey Burger
Ingredients:
• 1 lb. ground turkey
• 1/4 large red onion
• 2 tbsp minced garlic
• 2 tbsp cilantro, chopped • 1 tbsp sriracha • 2 slices pepper jack cheese • salt and pepper
Saute onions and garlic. Mix all ingredients together and form patties. Grill until just before desired firmness. Add cheese and cook just long enough to melt. Garnish with whatever you like. We like red onion, lettuce, and some raspberry chipotle mayo (raspberry chipotle sauce mixed with mayo and a quick shot of sriracha.
Sorry I didn't post about this last week like I said I was going to. Those snow days made me super lazy and I pretty much did nothing other than go to the gym. And sleep. Mostly sleep. :) But, I'm posting about it now, so we're good.
This was super easy to do. I was a little nervous about being able to make the lines and not having paint get under the tape, but it actually worked out really well.
You're going to need:
• a canvas ( You can get them from Michael's, Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, etc.)
• acrylic paints of your choice
• masking tape
• large craft brush or small foam "brush"
OK, start off by taping off the canvas. I made vertical strips evenly across the canvas. Then I started by taping off every 2 inches and creating the chevron. Don't do that. just eyeball it. It was way too complicated and that's the part that looks a little too diagonal on the one side. Once I started just eyeballing it it seemed a little easier to get even. And...it's DIY so you want it to have a little character.
Then the fun begins, make yourself a little paint pallet with your acrylic paints and then take your brush and start making wisps of color all over the canvas. Be careful not to press too hard because it might pull up the tape. I just did a few light wisps all over the place. Don't be afraid to mix a few colors and all that jazz.
When the paint dries, pull off the tape. And voila!! You're left with a gorgeous, homemade canvas!!
I have to admit, I can't take full credit for this drink. This past weekend we stayed in Ocean City with two other couples to celebrate Valentine's Day. One of the chicks suggested Happy Hour in her room before dinner and she made this awesome drink. I knew right away I had to share it for #ThurstyThursday. Plus, the two ladies just found out about this blog so...what better way to keep them reading than to mention them first thing in my #ThurstyThursday blog post, right?!? Hey Steph and Kristin!! Now I just hope they're reading. haha.
This is such a refreshing drink. Again, perfect for a summer party!! And, this recipe makes a whole pitcher, so...it's pretty cheap, too, considering.
Beer-ry Vodka Spritzer
Ingredients:
• 3 light beers (I used Corona, Steph used Coors...both good)
• 1 cup vodka
• 1/2 can (or more) limeade from concentrate
• frozen mixed berries (however much you want. I did maybe a cup.)
Put vodka, limeade, and berries into blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into pitcher. Add beers. Stir slowly. Enjoy!!

Ever heard of Flex Watches before?? No?? Well, you are certainly in for a treat!
Flex Watches is a company that was started one goal in mind, "to make a difference in people's lives". They are based out of San Diego, California and was created by two young men looking to make a change. During their first campaign they were able to raise enough profit to provide 15,000 meals for children in need in Mexico. By providing these breakfasts, students get the opportunity to be more focused and able to concentrate on their studies.
Flex Watches made their big debut in 2011 on The Real World San Diego. I remember watching that episode and vividly thinking about how awesome it was that 2 young men started this business to benefit charities all over. During this episode, the cast of The Real World happen to run into Trevor and Travis at a local bar. Throughout their chat Nate, one of the cast members, decided it would be a great idea to create a watch that would benefit The Living Memoir, a charity he created that focuses on the awareness of suicide and suicide prevention. And from there, Flex Watches took off.
From that moment on I have followed Flex Watches and seen the company grow into the awesome charity that it is today. Most recently, Trevor was on The Millionaire Matchmaker and I decided to check out their website since I hadn't been on recently. One of the first things I noticed was an opportunity for Campus Reps, a chance for high school and college students to help spread the word about Flex Watches, their premise, and any happenings with the company. Immediately, of course, I thought of this blog and how I would love to take the opportunity to do the same.
Not only do Flex Watches take the opportunity to give back, but their product is awesome. All watches are silicone and most have interchangeable faces so you can mix and match for your outfits!! And, a ton of celebrities have gotten in on this action, too. Most recently, David Cruz from The Millionaire Matchmaker has helped to create a collection called Let's Just Love, and Tyga helped collaborate for the Last Kings collection.
My favorite is the new Venice collection. They come in 5 awesome colors and look so sleek on your wrist. It doesn't matter whether or not you're a man or a woman, they look awesome!! The black one will be my next purchase. For sure.
And, as a special treat for you, Flex Watches was generous enough to send me a watch for you! So enter below and be sure to stop by their page and check this awesome company out!! It's your choice. Whoever wins can choose between the White Classic or the Pink Venice!! See you tomorrow for Thursty Thursday!!
