To the love of my life....

Today marks a full two years we have been married. I can't say it's been the best two years of my life. Truth is...it's been the best 6 years of my life. Something happened in me the day I met you. Maybe it took me a year to figure it out, but all that matters is that I finally let my heart decide what to do. And apparently, it made the right decision.

You truly are my soul mate. I can feel it in the "rhythm" of us. In the way we can literally have conversations without talking. The way your mouth speaks what my mind is thinking, even after moments of complete silence. I can feel it in the way you reach for my hand in the middle of the night just know I'm there. It never ceases to amaze me how in tune our bodies are.

I love you. I know you know that, but I wonder if you can even fathom how much. Truthfully, I don't think I can even explain it. You honestly are a piece of me and when you're not here, I feel like only half the person I am with you. Thank you for being the one to bring out the real me.

So here's to another year of us. Another year of endless possibilities and a lifetime of infinite love and laughter.

It's summer!! Just kidding.....

So our last official day of school, even as teachers was yesterday. Unfortunately, I got suckered into presenting at our Tech Academy this year. I wasn't that worried about it until I found out it was a THREE HOUR LONG CLASS!!

OK, so most of you know....I can talk. But only about things I find interesting. And truthfully, teaching technology every. single. day. has made me a little blech about it. And, the people who take this class are not familiar with the technology I'm presenting, so there are so many questions, and I'm trying to explain it all and it's like....holy shit! Get me outta here!!

The good news is that after today my summer break officially starts. The bad news is that summer school starts on Friday and goes until August 1st, so....I don't really get a "summer break". haha. But...two weeks is better than nothing I guess.

So anywhoooooo....wish me luck on this next class. Hopefully the people aren't bored as hell during my presentation. haha.

No Drip Ice Cream Cones

Hey everyone! This is Tiffany. I loved reading through your posts lasts week. Thank you! This week many amazing posts were submitted and many of them I referred a few friends to for them to also enjoy. I personally love reading about your lives and thoughts on just about anything, as well as seeing the delicious food you recently made! This post totally caught my eye! At first I was like- wait- a no drip ice cream cone?! Then I looked a little closer to see that this sweet delight is a really fun idea for hosting a party to get a totally fun reaction from both parents and kids! I mean, what kid doesn't want an M&M filled ice cream cone, topped with a donut hole, candy melt, and sprinkles? Ok, def not healthy and very much sugar overload, but really great for a special occasion! I am saving this recipe for my own future events.

Weekend Recap

This weekend was boring....

Friday I did nothing. I went to the neighbors for a little and then came home and went to bed sober. Boooooo!!

Saturday I got up early and went to Mom's to help clean my stuff out of the attic. Mom's attic is literally bigger than the top floor of most people's houses. It's three "rooms" and they are all filled with things from the past almost 40 years. It was hot as balls and super emotional to go through, and throw out, all those memories, but I don't have room for it at my house and it needed to be purged. The up side is that I found a ton of shit I can have a yard sale with to make a little extra dough!!

Saturday night was my nieces dance recital. She dances for the same dance company I used to. That's right, people, I was a dancer. And not of the exotic origin!! I danced for 15 years and Saturday night was the first time I ever sat in the audience. Sooo weird. But super cool to see her up there killin it! She was the best out of all of them and it wasn't just because I'm partial. She listened to her teacher and did every move when she was supposed to. I think we have another future dancer on our hands, people!

Sunday I went through a bunch of the old pictures I found in the attic. It was hilarious! Throwback Thursday is going to be interesting from now on. No one I went to high school with is safe. haha. They're coming out of the woodwork people!! Stay tuned on Instagram for some fun!!

I also cut a few of these gorgeous lillies and put them in some vases around the house. I love fresh flowers and I never get them from the store. I love picking them from my own garden and filling our house with that delicious fresh scent!!

5 on Friday!!

It's time for Friday's 5!!!!

Today is the last day of school!!! Well, for kids....but still!! No more boogers! At least until Monday when I start summer school. Whomp, whomp...

 

One of my students gave me a $5 Dunkin Donuts gift card!! That means 2 medium iced caramel coffee's with just cream for me!!! Or....I could do an iced coffee and a bagel. Hmmm, I'll have to think on that one!!

I got an email yesterday confirming my first VoxBox!! I'm super excited!! It's a Surf's Up VoxBox and I totally can't wait to get it and see what the hype is all about!! Yay!!!

My lilies are blooming!! They look beautiful!! Actually I didn't even know we had them because they had already bloomed by the time we moved in last year, so I was super excited!!!

Mike cleaned the house on Wednesday!! OMG. I mean, could I ask for anything more? Like top to bottom cleaned the house. Vacuumed, dusted, made the bed...everything! Ugh...what an awesome dude. Most of the time. haha.

I through reading all of your posts and found one that I just couldn't help but send along to all of my married friends.  This one really made me think a bit more about my thoughts on marriage. I find that Kirstie's post was so real and honest that I had to share it with all of you, in hopes that if you are are going through a rough patch that you think about the 15 Second Kiss. She expressed how much of a difference taking 15 seconds out of your day to spend time with your loved one makes on your life. I highly recommend that regardless if you are married or not that you head over and read this post. This post has influenced me to try to stop and smell the roses more often.
