Thirsty Thursday - Christmas Edition!!

I'm so excited for this!! It's Thirsty Thursday and we're doing a Christmas version!! I can't wait to see what you all have linked up because my Christmas Party is tomorrow!! Just a reminder this linkup is a little different from normal. We have changed it to include anything that would be used to entertaining. You can link up a drank, a tablescape, some apps, etc.

I'm going to linkup a few dranks since that was the original reason for me starting this linkup in the first place, but check out the post from yesterday for some other ideas for a Christmas Party of your own!! 

One of my favorite dranks for Christmas is sooo delish. Especially this brand. It's warm and cozy and perfect for a night spent with the people you love and Christmas lights!!!

Boordy Vineyards Spiced Wassail

If you've never heard of wassail it's a spiced wine that you drink warm. In order to heat it up the easy way you can fill a crockpot with water and just put it on high. Then, place your wine bottles in the water. That should warm it to the right temp for sipping!! 

My aunt is actually the one who came up with the next drank. It's a holiday favorite with a twist!!

Fire Noggin

On Thanksgiving my brother brought Fireball and Angry Orchard to make some Angry Balls. My aunt, who always likes to partake in some wine or whiskey spiked eggnog decided to pour some of the Fireball into her eggnog. Apparently the result was AMAZEBALLS!! I don't care for eggnog but I wanted to share if for those who do!!

Boordy Vineyards - Maryland

If you live in the Baltimore area and have never been to Boordy you are really missing out. My friend's birthday was this weekend and her request was a girls trip to Boordy. I had been one time before and absolutely loved it. It's one of the most gorgeous vineyards I've ever been to in the hills and fields of Maryland. You would never guess that 10 minutes up the road was the city of Towson. 

Every Sunday at Boordy there is an event called Soups in the Cellar. They give you wine tasting mixed with different soups that are meant to compliment the flavor of the wine. Unfortunately, that was sold out for when we were there but it's definitely incentive to head back another Sunday. It was held up in the top of the barn and it was absolutely gorgeous. We asked if they held wedding there and they surprisingly don't. Apparently they get too much business as it is.

After sampling a few wines we decided to buy a bottle of the VivaSangria and sit out on the patio. We drank our wine and cut up for a while and then headed inside again to drink some more wine. lol. 

We decided to go on the tour, which ended up to be the best idea ever because the tour guide gave the responsibility of filling up glasses to our friend. lol. Whoop Whoop!! Needless to say there wasn't much wine for anyone else. haha. It was only small samples, but a bunch of small samples equals a full glass in my case. lol. FREE WINE!!

The whole day was perfect and I was so happy my friend suggested this idea. I can't wait to go back. I forgot how beautiful it was out there.

I'm going to kind of keep this short and sweet today. It's been such a long day. We are in a bidding war of sorts with this house. Our agent called this morning and told us we needed to have our best and final offer in by 5 this evening. Please keep your fingers crossed for us!!

I'm also slacking this week because I forgot to take a picture of the drink of the week. I found one from the internet so please forgive me!!

This week I did something I haven't done yet. My favorite wine!!

Mapreco - Vinho Verde

This wine is so good and so crisp. It's my absolute favorite to have on a summer day!! It's a bit on the sweeter side but not too sweet. You can taste the citrus and hints of lime. I love it!!
