More Liebster Shoutouts!!

Last week I had two fabulous bloggers nominate me for the Liebster Award!! I love hearing that I actually appeal to my fans readers and that they like to read my stuff!!

So, since I have been nominated before and already nominated other blogs, I always like to at least answer their questions and give a quick shoutout to these fabulous ladies!!

My first email was from Brit over at Wine, Cheese, and Workout Capris. You may not know, but Brit was once my fabulous cohost during Thirsty Thursday!! She did a Spiked Lemonade that looked AMAZEBALLS!! Go check it out!! And link up for Thirsty Thursday!! (Insert shameless linkup plug here.)

Here were the questions Brit had for me!!

1. What is your favorite book? These questions are so hard. I honestly don't have a favorite book. I love Jodi Picoult books and have read every book by Nicholas Sparks. 

2. Why did you start blogging? When I first got addicted to Pinterest I loved going to people's blog in order to see how to do all the DIY stuff and recipes and all that. It kind of intrigued me to start something where people could go to my blog and see the same. I've since moved away from all the recipes and DIY that I used to blog about, but am happy with where the blog is now. 

3. Who inspires you the most? I wouldn't really say I have someone who inspires me. I would say it's more of a drive to ensure that I'm happy in whatever I'm doing in life. 

4. Any advice for new bloggers? Ha, oh Lord. I'm a new blogger myself so I think I'm the one that needs the advice!!

5. What do you like to do in your free time? That's easy...drink! Thirsty Thursday...hello??

6. Do you have a favorite workout? Hmm...does the steps it takes to get to the fridge count as working out? Because that's about all I've done lately. 

7. What is your greatest achievement so far? Ha. Not getting fired. I'm definitely the kind of person who speaks my mind and stands up for my students. It's gotten me into a lot of trouble in the past and I actually left one county because of the disagreements I had with the "higher ups". In my opinion, you can run out of breath talking about all the programs in the world that are going to "better" your students.  But what you students really need is someone they can look up to and trust. That's the real motivation for learning. Well, at least in my opinion.

8. What is your favorite movie? Another favorites question....no idea. lol. Sorry.

9. What is one of your goals for the future? To look like this...although that would require 300 cc's of silicone and someone to remove their junk from my trunk....

10. If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go? Africa. I mean I would love to visit Italy and France and all that, but I know I will get there eventually. Africa is a goal a little harder to attain. Plus, I love zebras.

11. What is your favorite tv show? Just one? Well we're currently in the season for Hell on Wheels, Boardwalk Empire, Ray Donovan, Catfish, Teen Mom, Ink Masters, Dexter, Top Gear, and Sons of Anarchy starts tonight. But throughout the rest of the year...Next Food Network Star, Game of Thrones, The Ultimate Fighter, True Blood, Homeland, Walking Dead, Vikings, Falling Skies, Spartacus, The Americans, Intervention, Scared Straight, Eastbound and Down, Californication, Real Housewives (duh), Anything on Food network or HGTV...is that good??

Here are Katie's questions...

1. What is the first thing you do when you get on your computer each day? (Check email, social media, etc.) Check Facebook. It's sad. But true. Here's my routine when I wake up. I walk down the hallway to the bathroom and sit on the toilet. Now before we all get grossed out, I don't do Number 2 well you know...unless I have to...I just sit there. I check Facebook, Twitter, maybe play a few games of Candy Crush, then I get up and start my day. :) I know, I know...it's weird. I don't know how it started, but it's routine now.

2. Do your friends and family read your blog? If so, how long after you started did you tell them about it? Ha!! Umm, no. Actually, I ask them to read my blog but they still don't. lol. I'm not ashamed or embarrassed about my blog at all. It's just my way of feeling like someone is listening and I get to say whatever I want!!

My mother hates that I curse sometimes on my blog so I'd actually prefer her not to read it, I guess. She once yelled at me for posting a Facebook status that used the word "freakin". I was 28 years old. Nuff Said...

3. What is your favorite season and why? I love Autumn. Something about that weather where it's breezy but still a little warm. I love it. Oh and there's pumpkin beer, too!! YUM!!

4. What is your dream job? (If money was no issue.) If I thought I could actually make a living with it in my hometown I would love to be an Interior Designer. I would love to go to school and get to try out all those things in other people's houses. I think it would be awesome!!

5. What book are you currently reading (or read last)? Do you recommend it? Well, I'm actually in a book Club and we met last night so...I just got done trying to finish The Cuckoo's Calling. I couldn't get through it. Not like it was bad it just took forever to read!! Only 2 members of the Book Club actually finished it. However....they said it got really good towards the end so don't pass it by because of me!!

And, we just chose Me Before You by Jojo Moyes to read for this month so I haven't started it but I'll let you know.

6. If you won the lottery, would you (and your husband/boyfriend if you have one) quit your day job? Oh hail no! I need us both to work so we can get away from each other. lol. You see, we have the perfect setup. He works nights and I work days. Yeah it sucks sometimes, but...it works.

7. What is something that is currently on your wish list? A nap.

8. If you had nothing to do tomorrow, what would be your ideal day to yourself? Shopping. Well, if I had a ton of gift cards. lol. I love shopping for things for the house and clothes. I could do it all day every day. But only if I get to keep the stuff.

You ever have those dreams where you shop and buy all those cute clothes, and then you wake up and realize you really don't have them. I call those nightmares. 

9. Tell me something cool about the city that you live in. Where would you take me if I were to visit? Umm...eerrr...hhmmm... we have crabs? So...crabbing? It's a very small town.

Liebster Shoutouts!!

A few months back I got nominated for a Liebster and wrote this. Since then I have been nominated a few more times and promised those people I would at least shout out to their blog and answer the questions. It's the least I can do for people who follow me. I love you all!!

So...I know I'm super late for a few of you, but I will let you know so you know I kept my word. If I forgot anyone, tell me and I will do another post. Promise. :)

First off, let me shout out to Erica who blogs at Erica Dee but she just started a new blog called Loyal RUN. Sorry I'm so late!! She nominated me like two months ago and I told her I would answer her questions and all. Oops!! Little late.

Here they are!!

1. What is your current long term goal? Survive the zombie apocalypse!!!

2. What is your favorite food to eat? Hmm...OK I'm going to be cliche about this, but...sushi!! I don't get it very often so when I do it's such a treat. We have a place near us called Cafe Sado and they are AMAZEBALLS!!
3. Where do you spend most of your money? Ha...the liquor store. I feel like I should probably get like an employee discount or something. We do occasionally get free beer to try out, so...that's a plus.
4. Do you like Bloglovin'? Yes, but it makes me feel like a failure. lol. I can't keep up with all your wonderful blogs!!
5. What keeps you interested in blogging? Stalking Reading everyone else's blog. I know how much I love reading about everyone's lives so I figure at least some people out there might like reading about mine, too!!
6. What is your favorite outdoor activity? Drinking?? I could say boating but I only like boating because we drink on the boat with friends. And I could say cookouts but I only like cookouts for the drinking and good food. I pretty much like anything outdoors as long as there is drinking. :)
7. Do you workout? If so, what is your current routine? Yup!! I usually run for about 30 minutes and then go lift.
8. Do you have a big family or a small family? There are 5 people in my family (including dad). The only other family I have are my niece, nephew, and aunt. Everyone else has passed on. Mike has 4 people in his family. So....small??
9. What is your favorite HEALTHY snack? Hmm...I would have to say popchips or rice pops. I can also always go for some kind of veggie and low fat ranch. OOO, and cottage cheese!! YUMMMM!!
10. What is your favorite online shopping site? OMG! I can't choose. I probably order the most from DSW but I love to "window shop" at so many places.
11. Are looks really that important? Honestly. Truth is every single person I have dated has taken me a while to actually find them physically attractive. Yup, even Mike. Shhhhh!! I'm not picky by any means, I just feel like people are more attractive by their personality then by their looks.

What is your dream job? Ha!! I would love to be the person who samples beers and wines all day long. I'd clearly have to live somewhere where I could take the bus or a taxi home, but it would be awesome!!
In what ways are you self-confident? Oh Lawd, this one's hard. Umm, there are things I'm good at, like teaching, and decorating. But then again I know I can be so much better at those things if I wasn't so lazy.
How and when did you meet your spouse/significant other? You can read all about our experience together here! We met through a mutual friend.

What is one lesson you would like to teach your child(ren) about life? Be openminded. Judgement should only be used on yourself.
What is the nerdiest thing about you? I'm totally into technology. Hell, I teach it!! I know a lot about computers and what I don't know I can usually figure out pretty quickly. And...I love troubleshooting because I feel so accomplished when I can finally get it right!! Computers don't feel the same about me, however.

2. What was your most memorable gift you received as a child? Wow, that's hard. Well, it would have to be a compilation of a bunch of gifts. My parents used to give me a Barbie for every Christmas. When I was like 16 they stopped. They thought I was too old. I threw a huge fit and told them they had to go out and get me one because it was not cool that they just stopped without asking my opinion. To this day I still get some form of Barbie every year for Christmas. lol. Might be an ornament, maybe a collectible. But I get something!!
3. Do you like my new blog design?!?!?! LOVE!! Although I can't be certain we're talking about the same one. It's been so long.
4. You're invited to my birthday, what would you bring? VODKA!!
5. Ocean, Lake, Pond, or Pool? Bay!! I live on the Chesapeake!!
6. If you had a maned wolf as a pet, what would you name him? OMG!! WTH?!? Umm, Turbo?? Looks fast!!
7. What's your favorite song currently on the radio? Hmmm, does talk radio count?? I truthfully only listen to talk radio on my drives. It makes me feel like I'm having a conversation with someone and the time passes quicker. But I pretty much like anything Macklemore related.
8. Where did you meet your best friend? 3rd grade. :) My county changed the district lines and I was forced to go to a new school. We've been wreaking havoc ever since!!
9. What's your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Pancakes. Blueberry, to be exact. And the blueberries come from the blueberry bush in my backyard!!!
10. What's your favorite Bruce Springsteen song? I'm going to have to go with Secret Garden. Although the some of it is a little disturbing. "She'll let you in her mouth, if the words you say are right. If you pay the price, she'll let you deep inside?!?" Hmmmm....but I love the Jerry McGuire version with the movie quotes the best. :)

11. Will you send me a bag of tiny Snickers if I send you my address? I'd like to say yes but I'll probably forget. lol. And Mike is too cheap to buy stamps. :)

Which iphone game is your guilty pleasure--don't lie! I don't own one. :/ I know, I know....it's probably going to be my next phone, though.
What was your favorite part about your 4th of July celebrations this year? The dranks!!
Are you a morning person or a night person? Morning. Fo sho....Mike hates it. I usually have to just go downstairs. Otherwise I become quite annoying.

11 Facts about Little Ole Me!!

1. My husband chased me for a year before I would finally give him a chance. All it took was a date with another chick. :)

2. I live in the house that I was raised in. When I was 10 we moved out and my parents rented it out. I have always wanted to move back and raise my own children here.

3. I'm a shower singer and a mirror model. One day I will be famous. :)

4. I'm horribly afraid of spiders. Horribly...it's a problem. One time I wouldn't leave my basement because there was a spider by the stairs. I stayed there for over an hour until someone came home and killed it.

5. I was a dancer for 15 years. No not exotic. Yet...but times sure are getting tough!!

6. Sometimes I worry that I might be turning into an alcoholic. But then I have another drink and laugh at how stupid that sounds.

7. I love teaching, but I think a lot about changing professions. Not sure what I could do, however. I have ADHD and could never work in a cubicle and expect not to just blog all day.

8. I have Final Destination brain. I will die of something out of this world unbelievable. Like I'll fly off a roller coaster, or get sucked out of an airplane toilet. I constantly have horrible images of things that may will happen to me going through my brain.

9. I know more about sports (football and baseball) than most guys. Mike told me to say this. lol.

10. My husband pretty much does all the girly things in the relationship; cooks, cleans, does laundry. I help when I can but he works nights so he does it while I'm gone during the day.

11. I get along with my in-laws almost better than my own mother. lol. Mom's very old fashioned and I've always been a little "unique". She freaked when my brother got his tongue pierced. Imagine what she thought when I gauged my ears, died my hair dark, pierced my nose, and got my first tattoo?? The in-laws are a little more "accepting". Plus they get drunk and have a good time. Mom's a "one and doner".

11 Questions from Cortney

1. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? Truth. I don't really eat ice cream. Maybe if we have cake for a birthday or Mike's mom buys it to go with a dessert she made, but I could really go without. If I had to choose, however, it would be the vanilla chocolate soft serve twist in a sugar cone. :)

2. Channing Tatum or Bradley Cooper? Hmmm. I'd screw Channing Tatum in a heartbeat. Like, nasty, hot, sweaty, porn star sex. I mean, have you seen the "Pony" solo in Magic Mike?? Go ahead...take your computer somewhere you can be alone and have a moment. We've all done it...

...You're welcome. However.....If we were playing "Sex, Marry, Throw off a cliff" I'd marry Bradley Cooper. He's hot, funny, seems pretty sweet and...he speaks french...I know...
3. Your all time FAVORITE quote? "Hey hoe, how you doin'? Where you been? Prolly doin' hoe stuff 'cause there you hoe again."
4. If we were stranded on an island, what are three things that we'd most definitely need? We'd only need 2 things, a chaser and some vodka. 
5. What's one tip you could give about blogging? Take the time to "network". I love finding new blogs to check out, but you can't do that without looking around. Don't expect for people to just fall into your blog without working for it. Find blogs you like and leave them sincere personal messages that have meaning. Actually read what they have to say rather than just telling them to follow you back.
6. What's on your summer bucket list? I would really like to lose a few more inches. I won't say pounds because I really don't care what the scale says. I have gotten a lot of compliments in the last few days so I hope it gives me the motivation to keep going. 
7. Do you have any funny/strange/gross/amazing hidden talents? Ask Mike *wink* haha. Umm, my thumbs are double-jointed so I can bend it back all the way to touch my wrist. I'm also an amazing armpit farter!!
8. What's your biggest fear? Another Prohibition.
9. Besides mine (wink), who's blog do you read the moment you wake up? haha. Besides you...I usually just go down the list in my Bloglovin' feed.
10. What's your biggest pet peeve? When people don't text me back. Grrrr.
11. I'm throwing a party. What are you bringing? Myself!! I AM the party!!! Haha. This is easy. Vodka and buffalo chicken dip. Yummmm!!
